Chalet Christine

We wanted to stay near Annecy but wanted a more relaxed feel - Talloires is the perfect town and Chalet Christine is the perfect accommodation. It was only a short walk from some super restaurants and the lake. We received a very warm welcome, the room was well equipped, comfortable and beautiful, the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful (the lady who cooked the breakfasts was very friendly) and the view was lovely. We don’t normally use spa facilities as they can be quite intimidating but, at Chalet Christine, there was such a relaxed feel that we used the spa every day (mostly we had it all to ourselves).

Lovely chalet style building but updated in a very sympathetic way. Good facilities - garden, pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna. Parking outside the hotel. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Lovely balcony with great views of Lake Annecy. There is no dining facility but you can order a great charcuterie and cheese platter with wine to eat on the terrace, in the lounge or on your own balcony

the location was superb. Quiet yet not far from amenities.Close to scenic spots. Breakfast could do with few more hot options. WE were looked after by Elodie a most charming warm person, always ready to help us with suggestions and a ready smile.

A fabulous view of the Lake. The chalet is contemporary with nice pieces of antique furniture eg the child’s cradle housing the spa towels. Only 5 rooms. Feels like being in your own home. The host was attentive producing an amazing spread for breakfast.

This hotel was great, the view is absolutely stunning, exactly as the pictures and was in fact the whole reason i booked this hotel. Room was great, chalet style and with a balcony. We stayed in annecy for x2 nights and i would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast was worth including the host can make eggs to your requirements along with buffet and again a stunning view! An added bonus was the pool, sauna facilities which 55 mins private time is included in your stay. This was a great touch for us to use ahead of our long journey south later that morning I would however note a few points for those visiting but mainly down to location. This hotel is in talloise which is a beautiful quiet village on the east of the lake. Annecy the main town isn’t particularly close. Walking isn’t possible (unless you like hiking 1.5/2 hours) having said that there is a bus and cabs which we used. There are activities nearby on lake , paddle boarding, water taxi, peddle boats etc and hotel bars with fronts. Just bare in mind if you are looking to stay out late in Annecy, you will struggle to get back after 11:00.
